For 17 years, Philadelphia is always sunny delved into the shenanigans of the five owners of the fictional Paddy’s Pub – a group known to themselves, their fans and their (very few) friend as The Gang. (They’re not known to be the most upstanding citizens.)

Last year, as the show entered its 15th season, it became the longest-running live-action sitcom of all time. And in commemoration of its historic run, its three co-creators have teamed up to release a new whisky, called Four Walls.

Philadelphia is always sunny creators and stars Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day are the latest celebrities to dip their toes into the world of spirits. But instead of being a way to quickly line their pockets – which we’re sure will be a potential storyline for a future episode – Four Walls sales will go towards helping hospitality workers across Pennsylvania.

“We wanted to create a brand that celebrated the four walls that held our favorite memories and kept our troubles away,” Howerton said in a press release.

McElhenney says that while filming season 15 of The weather is always good, they saw bars closed amid the pandemic. “So we decided to find some really great whiskeys and create something as a tribute to the bar and launch it giving back,” he said.

Four Walls includes two whiskeys to start with. One is a single cask Irish whiskey, which retails for $1,000 and is limited to just 755 bottles. It also includes autographs from all three stars, adding to its hefty price tag.

The other Four Walls whiskey is a bit more wallet-friendly, for the laid-back The weather is always good fan. Bartender’s Blend, which costs $90, is a blend of Irish and Pennsylvania straight rye. According to Four Walls, it’s “blended for bartenders” and designed to make a great base for a cocktail.

Sales of the two Four Walls whiskeys will be donated to HARP of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association. Both bottles are available for sale on the Four Walls website, and The Gang plans to offer more expressions in the future.
