Jameson Irish Whiskey offers a new ginger and lime cocktail in a can

Jameson Irish Whiskey recently launched its first-ever US ready-to-drink offering, Jameson Ginger & Lime.

Whiskey-based ready-to-drink cocktails account for much of the growth in the ready-to-drink category in recent years.

This new canned carbonated cocktail is made with Jameson’s triple-distilled Irish whiskey and comes in a four-pack, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Joining the whiskey are natural flavors of ginger and lime.

“The Jameson Ginger & Lime ready-to-drink cocktail was inspired by one of our fan-favorite recipes,” said Kate Pomeroy, chief innovation officer at Pernod Ricard North America, in a prepared statement. “Our goal was simple…to create a simple and delicious cocktail experience.”

The canned cocktail has an ABV of 6% and is available now at retailers nationwide as a 4-pack of 12oz cans for a suggested retail price of $14.99.

“We are exceptionally excited to announce this new offering just in time for St. Patrick’s Day,” said Sona Bajaria, Vice President of Marketing at Jameson. “The past two years have highlighted the mandate to provide consumers with quality products in a convenient way. With 9 out of 10 consumers interested in purchasing a Jameson Ginger & Lime ready-to-drink, this expansion was a natural next step.

This debut album follows the release of Jameson Orange, which first hit US shelves in January. Made with their triple distilled Irish whiskey and natural orange flavor, Jameson Orange has an ABV of 30% and brings what is described as a whiskey liquid with a subtle sweetness, something different for the growing category of flavored spirits .
