Paddy Drinks: The World of Modern Irish Whiskey Cocktails, a practical illustrated and photographed guide to cocktails and a book on cocktails, will be released in February.
The book comes from the folks behind The Dead Rabbit bar in New York and is published by HarperCollins.

The book says bar experts Jillian Vose, Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry “reclaim the term ‘Paddy'”.
The book begins with an illustrated guide to the manufacturing steps and differences between different types of whiskeys, flavor wheels and tasting notes. Readers can create their own drinks using a variety of Irish whiskey brands and styles.
Paddy Drinks includes what is described as 90 innovative cocktail recipes that have been introduced to The Dead Rabbit over the years. David Wondrich, a renowned expert on the history of cocktails, also wrote a foreword for the book.
The Paddy Drinks book will retail for $28 for 288 pages. Author Vose, Beverage Director and Managing Partner of The Dead Rabbit in Lower Manhattan, was named one of America’s Top 10 Bartenders in 2017 and Top 4 in 2018 and 2019 at Tales of The Cocktail’s Spirited Awards .
Muldoon, co-founder and managing partner of the Dead Rabbit in New York and former bar manager at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast, also wrote the book. The Dead Rabbit is an expression of Sean’s dream of combining sophisticated cocktail service with the rich tradition of the Anglo-Hibernian pub.
